The Ferrocarrils tourist train, which runs on the railway line between Lleida and La Pobla de Segur, ends the 2025 season with 6,692 passengers and almost full occupancy in all of its 27 circulations.
This year, a tourist guide has been incorporated on board to explain the history and route, which has been very well received by visitors.

On Saturday, October 25, the Tren dels Llacs made its last circulation of the 2025 season.
The Tren dels Llacs, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), ends its seventeenth season today with a very positive balance. The historic railway line, which has been in service since April 26 this year, has had 6,692 passengers, 9% more than the previous season. The occupancy of all circulations, which has been 98.41%, also stands out.
During seven months, a total of 27 trips were made, of which 23 correspond to the Historic Tren dels Llacs with vintage locomotives and cars, and four to the Panoramic Tren dels Llacs, operated during the months of July and August.
This season, the Historic Train has improved the tourist experience with the incorporation of a service of guided trips by a guide on board throughout the route, who has explained live stories and curiosities of the territory through which the train passes, of great scenic richness. A novelty that has been well received by customers. This initiative is added to the complementary offer of the territory, such as the visit to the Center of Interpretation of Fauna and Nature of the Pyrenees, located in the old station of La Pobla de Segur, the Espai Raier, the Molí de l’Oli, the Casa Mauri or the Botigues de Salàs de Pallars, among others.
Tren dels Llacs, a destination in itself
The Tren dels Llacs is a train with a historic locomotive that crosses a unique territory. Time stops on the Tren dels Llacs and transports passengers to another era. The itinerary begins in Lleida and reaches La Pobla de Segur, crossing 40 tunnels, 75 bridges of exuberant beauty and four large lakes. Through its window you can see the reservoirs of Sant Antoni, Terradets, Camarasa and Sant Llorenç de Montgai.
This tourist service was born in 2009 with the aim of becoming a reference that contributes to the economic dynamism of the regions of La Noguera and Pallars Jussà. Ferrocarrils operates the service with the support of the Diputació de Lleida and the Autoritat Territorial de la Mobilitat de Lleida.
