The Tren del Ciment is located in the exceptional natural setting of the county of Berguedà. With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

History of the Tren del Ciment

With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

The Tren del Ciment is located in the county of Berguedà. It takes visitors on a 3.5-kilometre, 20-minute journey through forests and stunning landscapes. Throughout the length of the route, visitors can admire the majesty of this natural environment located on the doorstep of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

Timetables

The Tren del Ciment runs every Saturday and Sunday from March 28 to November 1, 2026. During Easter week, it will operate from March 30 to April 6. It will also run on May 1, June 24, 25 and 26, July 20 to 31, throughout August, and on September 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11, and October 12.
