The Tren del Ciment is located in the exceptional natural setting of the county of Berguedà. With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

History of the Tren del Ciment

With a history stretching back more than 100 years, this railway linked the Asland cement factory in Castellar de n’Hug to Guardiola de Berguedà. Today, the Tren del Ciment is one of the gems in Catalonia’s collection of historic railways.

The Tren del Ciment is located in the county of Berguedà. It takes visitors on a 3.5-kilometre, 20-minute journey through forests and stunning landscapes. Throughout the length of the route, visitors can admire the majesty of this natural environment located on the doorstep of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

Timetables

The Tren del Ciment runs every Saturday and Sunday from April 5 to November 2, 2025. During Easter, it will be operational from April 14 to 21. It will also be in operation on May 1 and 2, June 9, 23 and 24, July 21 to 31, the entire month of August and September 11 and 12.
